Param Veda (the “Canon”) is a fixed, sealed work published and authenticated only at www.paramveda.org . The Canon includes Sanskrit (Devanāgarī) text, official transliteration, official English translation, canon seal page(s), edition identifiers, and integrity markers.
Only Param Veda Foundation may publish or distribute the Canon as an edition (including PDFs, print editions for distribution, ebooks, apps, hosted text libraries, or audio editions marketed as canonical editions).

1) Definitions
- Canon
- the Param Veda work and its authorized components (Sanskrit, official transliteration, official translation, seal pages, edition identifiers, integrity markers).
- Official Source
- www.paramveda.org and any domain explicitly announced there.
- Authorized Publication
- files and print editions produced and distributed by Param Veda Foundation.

2) Permitted uses (no permission required)
A) Read, download, and print for personal use
You may download and print the official PDFs from www.paramveda.org for personal use.
B) Share the unchanged official PDF (non-commercial)
You may share the unaltered official PDF non-commercially if:
- The file is identical to the official PDF (no edits, no re-export, no OCR modifications, no removed pages).
- All seal pages, edition identifiers, and notices remain intact.
- You include a clear reference and link-back to www.paramveda.org .
Recommended practice: share the official link, and optionally the file as-is.
C) Public recitation allowed (mandatory attribution + link-back)
You may recite the Canon publicly (in-person or online) and host full recitations on your own channels if:
- You state the source clearly: “Param Veda (Official Canon) — Param Veda Foundation”.
- You include a visible or spoken link-back: www.paramveda.org .
- You do not present altered wording as Canon.
D) Short quotations allowed (mandatory attribution + link-back)
You may quote limited excerpts for education, scholarship, critique, or promotion (see quotation limits below).

3) Mandatory attribution (required for all permitted uses)
- “Param Veda (Official Canon) — Param Veda Foundation”.
- Link: www.paramveda.org .
- Where possible: Volume and Sūkta reference.

4) Quotation limits
- Without written permission: up to 12 lines of Sanskrit, OR up to 250 words of translation/commentary excerpts per post/article/video description.
- For longer quotation requests: permissions@paramveda.org .

5) Academic translation
- Private, unpublished translation for study is allowed.
- Any published translation (print/ebook/web/app/subtitled translation marketed as an edition) requires written approval from Param Veda Foundation.

6) Strict prohibitions (not allowed without written permission)
- Do not modify, tamper with, rewrite, rearrange, simplify, or create derivative editions of the Canon.
- Do not publish “revised Param Veda,” “Param Veda 2.0,” “Param Veda adapted,” or alternate “official” translations.
- Do not remove seal pages or edition identifiers.
- Do not misrepresent authenticity or claim endorsement without permission.
- Do not host a competing “official” library intended to substitute for www.paramveda.org .

7) Integrity and authentication
Param Veda Foundation may publish edition IDs and integrity markers (e.g., checksums/hashes). Any file not traceable to www.paramveda.org or lacking official markers is not an official edition.

8) Enforcement
Unauthorized tampering, counterfeit editions, misrepresentation, or large-scale unauthorized republication may result in platform/host takedown notices, cease-and-desist notices, and civil legal action (injunctions, damages, and costs). Where deception, impersonation, forged “official” editions, or fraudulent fundraising occurs, conduct may also attract criminal liability depending on facts and jurisdiction.

9) Stewardship transfer (not permanent ownership)
If Param Veda Foundation dissolves or cannot operate, stewardship must transfer to a successor non-profit custodian bound to keep the Canon immutable and preserve authenticated publication from a single official source.

10) Jurisdiction
Governing law: India. Jurisdiction/courts: Telangana, India (placeholder until registration details are final).

Personal printing permitted. Unchanged sharing permitted with attribution. No modification or counterfeit editions.
